Happy Corner Preschool is happy to host a joint open house with Sunhouse Nature School. Bring your little one(s) for a fun playday at Happy Corner Preschool. This is a wonderful chance for both you and your child(ren) to get acquainted with the school(s) first-hand, and explore and enjoy all the fun activities. It is also a good chance to ask questions about Happy Corner Preschool and Sunhouse’s nature program schedule, meet our teachers, meet other prospective families, as well as some parents of children currently attending Happy Corner.

Field Trips

May 30th Field Trip with Sunhouse Nature School

Sunhouse Nature School is excited to welcome Happy Corner families for a beautiful morning field-trip! You will be greeted by a Sunhouse Nature School educator at 9:15am at our Meeting Place at Trout Lake Park on May 30th to enjoy some exciting nature-based learning activities and games until 11:45am. Make sure to dress appropriately in layers for the weather, with a change of clothes packed in case the elements get through! A full water-bottle and snack will keep us energized for our active games. Please make sure to sign the Activity Waiver so that your child is able to participate. We can’t wait!

 

Time: 9:15am to 11:45am

 

Meeting Place: 3300 Victoria Drive, East of the Trout Lake Community Centre, pinned here on Google Maps and seen below. Here you will meet the Sunhouse Nature School Educator who will be facilitating your morning activities, who will be recognized with a Sunhouse Nature School lanyard.

Parent Education Speakers Series

The Parent Education Speaker Series is currently open to current Happy Corner families through our Zoom Parent Education and General Meeting Nights. It is an evening of information from experts in the field of children and their development. Please check back in the fall of 2024 to see our new list of upcoming guest speakers. 

Fundraising Events

We have several fundraising events each year. Much of what we value at the school is fully funded by fundraising money. This includes field trips, Parent Education speakers, the garden, school and art supplies, capital projects and larger items such as furniture.
